South Tampa is a collection of smaller neighborhoods in the City of Tampa — most notably Hyde Park, Channelside, Davis Islands, Bayshore Blvd/Harbor Island and the SoHo district.
Located on the Interbay Peninsula, South Tampa is surrounded by Tampa Bay on the east, and Hillsborough Bay on the west.
There is always something happening in the South Tampa area. Explore historic Hyde Park’s restaurants and nightlife, take a stroll down the Channelside waterfront, take part in a wide range of watersports, check out of the many annual festivals or take a short trip to vibrant Ybor City.
One of South Tampa’s best features is its centralized location. It is located just a short drive from many of Tampa’s most desirable points of interest, including: Busch Gardens, Raymond James Stadium (Home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and USF Bulls), Tampa Bay Times Forum (Home of the Tampa Bay Lightning), International Plaza shopping mall and the Tampa International Airport. South Tampa is also home to MacDill Air Force Base at the most southern end of the peninsula.
